PTE Exam Centres in India: City-wise List and Booking

Pearson's own centre data lists 57 PTE test centres in 37 Indian cities, from Delhi, Mumbai and Pune to Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata. We read it on 9 October 2026 and set it out city by city below. Some centres are run by Pearson and some are hosted by partner colleges or consultancies. Which tests a centre offers, and its free dates, show only in Pearson's live finder, so always check there before you pay.

PTE exam centres in India by city

The table comes from the centre data file that feeds Pearson's test finder. It gives centre names and addresses but not the tests offered or the dates. Names are shown as Pearson lists them.

Pearson's data names 19 sites as "Pearson Professional Centers" in 15 cities: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Pune and Surat. The other rows are partner sites such as HCL Tech offices, colleges and consultancies. Check the full address in the finder before you travel, because several cities have more than one site.

How to find a PTE centre near you

1. Open Pearson's test centres and fees page.
2. Choose the test you plan to take. If you are applying for a UK visa, choose PTE Academic UKVI. For study in Australia or New Zealand, choose PTE Academic. For Canadian permanent residence, choose PTE Core.
3. Select India and click Check availability. The finder shows centres and the next open dates.
4. Compare centres by distance and dates. Confirm the address before you book.

Centre notes for the big metros

• Delhi NCR: New Delhi has two sites, Noida one and Gurugram one. Compare dates across all of them.
• Mumbai and Pune: Each has one Pearson Professional Centers site. If Mumbai dates are full, check Pune, Surat and Ahmedabad.
• Bangalore: Three sites are listed, two of them Pearson Professional Centers (Bangalore and Bangalore 2).
• Hyderabad and Chennai: Each has one Pearson Professional Centers site. Vijayawada, Coimbatore and Bangalore are the nearest other listings.
• Punjab and Haryana: The densest cluster, with sites in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Chandigarh, Patiala, Bathinda, Barnala, Firozpur, Ambala Cantt, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Sirsa.

PTE exam centres in Kerala and the south

Pearson's data lists four centres in Kerala. Kochi has three (Santa Monica Study Abroad, plus two sites of Muthoot Institute of Technology & Science at Puthencruz), and Thiruvananthapuram has one (St. Thomas Institute for Science & Technology). It lists none in Kozhikode, Thrissur or Kottayam. Elsewhere in the south it lists one centre in Chennai, one in Hyderabad, three in Bangalore, one in Coimbatore and one in Vijayawada (KL University, Vaddeswaram). Visakhapatnam does not appear in the current data.

UKVI-approved centres in India

If you need a UK visa test, only some centres can run PTE Academic UKVI. The UK government's list of approved test centres outside the UK, dated 2 October 2026, shows Pearson as provider for 18 Indian centres in 17 cities: Ahmedabad, Ambala Cantt, Amritsar, Anand, Bangalore (2), Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kurukshetra, Mohali, Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Pune and Surat. The same list shows Indian centres run by other approved providers, which do not offer PTE. Kerala, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam have none of the Pearson rows on that list. For a UK visa, choose PTE Academic UKVI in Pearson's finder and book only a centre it offers for that test.

Which PTE test should you book?

Your destination decides the test, and the test decides which centre you can use. For a full comparison, see PTE Academic vs PTE Core vs UKVI. For Canadian permanent residence, see the PTE Core guide. For the scoring and format, see the PTE exam pattern.

Last updated and source notes

This page was checked on 9 October 2026. The city table comes from the centre data file that Pearson's test centres page loads, which we downloaded and read. It lists names, cities and addresses only, so it does not show which tests (PTE Academic, PTE Core, UKVI) each centre runs or whether it has open slots. The UKVI section comes from the UK government's approved-centre spreadsheet for centres outside the UK, dated 2 October 2026. Pearson's list and fees can change at any time, so check Pearson's finder before you book.
