PTE eligibility checker

Pick a university or a visa route, type your four skill scores and your overall score, and see requirement by requirement what you meet, how many points you miss by, and which skill to work on first.

Figures checked 13 Oct 2026. Open the Australian National University page for the exact official wording.

Your scores

Enter the overall score from your score report. It is not calculated from the four skills.

Enter your scores to see which requirements you meet.

Your scores stay in your browser and are not stored or sent anywhere. The result compares your numbers with published minimums; it is not an admission or visa decision.

How it works

  1. Choose what you are checking against: a university, or a visa route.
  2. Enter your 4 skill scores (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing) and your overall score from your PTE score report.
  3. Each requirement shows as met or not yet. For each one you miss, you see the gap in points for every score that falls short, and a link to practise the skill with the biggest gap.

A requirement written as "58 overall, no skill below 50" is met only when both parts are met. A requirement given as one figure per skill needs each of your skill scores to reach its own figure. Overall is only checked where the requirement has an overall figure.

Where the numbers come from

  • Universities: 92 universities and 467requirements, each taken from the university's own page and linked to it. Browse them in the university requirements section.
  • Visa routes: 22 routes from Home Affairs, GOV.UK, Immigration New Zealand, IRCC and Pearson, the same sourced figures as our thresholds table.

We do not convert from IELTS: if an official page lists only IELTS, there is no PTE figure for it here.

What this cannot tell you

  • Whether your course or intake has a higher figure than the one listed. Confirm on the programme page.
  • Whether you qualify for an English waiver. Waivers are listed on each university page where the university states them.
  • Whether a test result is still valid on the date you apply. Check the validity rule of the university or visa.
