The PTE exam fee in India was listed on Pearson's India test page as INR 18,000, which is INR 15,254 plus 18% GST, when we checked on 9 October 2026. Fees are set by Pearson, change over time, and differ by country, so confirm the exact amount in your Pearson booking before you pay. Rescoring costs USD 160 and a technical review costs USD 50. Cancellation refunds depend on how many full calendar days are left before your test.

PTE exam fee in India

Some Indian education sites quote INR 18,900. We could not find that figure on a Pearson page, so we do not use it. Pearson's India page shows no update date, which is one more reason to check the price at the point of booking. PTE exam fee in other countries

Pearson sets a separate fee for each country and test type. The price finder on Pearson's test centres and fees page shows the current figure for your location. We have not copied fees for other countries here, because we could not confirm them on a Pearson page.

PTE rescore, revaluation or rechecking fee

Pearson does not offer revaluation or rechecking as separate services. The closest option is a rescore or a technical review.

Rules for a rescore, as Pearson states them:

• You must ask within 14 calendar days of your score being made available.
• You can request a rescore once per test registration, and only for your most recent test.
• You cannot request a rescore if you have already booked another test.
• Pearson says the rescore payment can only be taken by phone.
• If your score changes, the new score replaces the old one, and the old score report is no longer available. Think about this before you share your score with a university or visa office.

Cancelling or rescheduling your PTE test

Use your myPTE account to cancel or reschedule. The thresholds below count full calendar days before your test.

• You can reschedule a single appointment up to 6 times.
• Pearson's help text uses slightly different day ranges in places. Check the full cancellation and rescheduling policy before you rely on a boundary date.
• Emergencies: Pearson may allow a free reschedule for illness or a family emergency, at its discretion. Submit the Request Emergency Reschedule form up to 14 full calendar days before the test, with evidence, and no later than 72 hours after your appointment. There is no automatic right to a rebook or refund.

Vouchers and payment

• A voucher can be applied to the test fee only. You cannot use it to pay a rescheduling fee.
• Voucher payments cannot be refunded.
• Pay only through Pearson's own booking flow or a voucher reseller that Pearson names. Pearson's booking and managing a test help page explains the process. Pearson warns that people offering tests at much lower prices, or guaranteed scores, may cancel your booking and keep your money.

IELTS and PTE exam fee

IELTS and PTE fees are set by different organisations and are paid separately, so there is no single "IELTS and PTE" fee. We do not list an IELTS fee on this page, because we could not verify one from an official source. Retake costs and timing

If your score is lower than you need, you can pay for another test. Plan the timing around these rules:

• You can book a retake only after you receive the scores from your last test.
• You can have one booking at a time.
• You can book up to 6 months ahead.
• You can take the test up to 12 times in any 12-month window.
• A PTE Academic score is valid for two years from the test date.
