Waivers and English pathways

Undergraduate: Indian Standard X or XII English Language at 70% or above from all boards may be accepted in place of a test, except Punjab and Haryana state boards.

Applicants who miss the required scores may be considered for pre-sessional English programmes; pre-sessional scores are listed as IELTS and Lancaster must be contacted for the scores required in other tests, including PTE.

Pearson PTE Academic and PTE UKVI are accepted only when taken in person at a test centre; the online version is not accepted for undergraduate entry (the postgraduate page says the same). PTE Core is not listed. Applicants must give permission for Lancaster to verify the score.
