Federation PTE Academic requirements by level

Waivers and English pathways
Ways Federation says you may not need to submit a PTE score, or may reach the requirement another way.
Non-test evidence is accepted instead of a test: an approved English for Academic Purposes (EAP) pathway course, or recent prior study at a recognised institution (not for Bachelor of Nursing).

Prior English-medium study from listed recognised countries can be accepted instead of a test, generally if completed within two years before course commencement; check the country lists on the page.

- Results must still be valid when the course starts, including after a deferral; no fixed validity period is stated on this page.

PTE (Pearson) is listed as an approved test. Tests completed before 23 April 2026 use an older table, not recorded here. Entirely online/at-home tests are not accepted; IELTS UKVI is not accepted.
